Germany: Policy Development and Regulations on Sustainable Finance and EU Taxonomy

There is an opportunity for GGF to position itself as an EU taxonomy aligned fund, but significant work will need to be done to internalize the taxonomy framework. The GGF will further assume a market enabler role and advance the Fund´s continuous progress towards its development objectives and support its partner institutions in navigating the sustainable finance ecosystem.

The objective of the MACS assignment is to provide a detailed assessment of the alignment of the GGF portfolio to the EU taxonomy, and of the potential to internalize aspects of the taxonomy into GGF eligibility criteria, and to review the application of the taxonomy to intermediated FI investments.
