SERBIA: Launch of the Green Economy Facility Phase II with Banca Intesa and Erste Bank

The KfW Green Economy Facility expands in Serbia with the Second Phase providing TA Support and financing for green investments for Banca Intesa and Erste Bank.

MACS is pleased to announce the launch of the second phase of the Green Economy Facility in Serbia, with Banca Intesa and Erste Bank already engaged and receiving tailored support to promote and implement green financing initiatives.

As part of the project’s inception activities, MACS organized a promotional event hosted by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, bringing together key stakeholders, including KfW, the participating banks, and companies that successfully financed green projects during the first phase. The event served as a platform to share experiences, showcase results, and present new opportunities under the expanded program.

Funds from the green credit lines in this phase are dedicated to municipal public companies and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), supporting investments in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and environmentally sustainable green projects.

This program is sponsored by KfW with the support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and in cooperation with the Serbian Ministry of Environmental Protection, as the institutional partner with a key role in guiding the project nationally.
