MACS is engaged as the technical consultant on the KfW LowCarbon (green) credit lines projects in Serbia. One of the projects financed under this framework is the replacement of 100 old diesel buses with 100 new CNG buses, which will improve the service and evironmental performance of the public transport company of the city of Belgrade (GSP). MACS is engaged on ex-ante impact estimations, as well as on the E&S assessment of the project. Last week, our E&S team visited the end-beneficiary premises. The activities included the visit to two Transport Facilities and the new CNG Filling stations for the new fleet. The aim was to confirm on-site if the environmental and OHS procedures and standards are applied and respected at the GSP facilities. Special consideration was given to the assessment of GSPs E&S capacities to manage the risks and impacts associated with this new project.
