In the context of MACS' activities as Capacity Building Consultant for the EU,ADA and GIZ financed LOCOMO (Local Communities) program in Moldova together with the consortium member Posch & Partners, who take over the construction supervision component of the project, the local team has organized a groundbreaking ceremony for the commencement of works for the new Water Treatment Plant in Edinet, in the north of Moldova. The Prime Minister of Moldova as well as the Mayor of Edinet and representatives of EU and the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) participated in the symbolic groundbreaking event, starting off the works for the water treatment plant construction and raising awareness in the population for the program and related activities in order to improve quality and sustainability of the water supply and water treatment activities in the project region.
