MACS recognized the huge importance of ESG risk assessments years ago. Therefore, apart from internal capacity building, MACS is actively taking part in business events and workshops related to this topic.
On Tuesday, April the 16th, our colleagues had the opportunity to attend the “ESG lab – launching event”, organized by Confindustria Serbia, Association of Italian Industrialists in Serbia.
The main scope of the event was to present the new platform ESG Lab, which will enable small and medium enterprises to make their business operation more sustainable and aligned with the ESG regulatory framework and market trends.
The central discussion of the event was inspired by the two examples of good practice in DDOR Serbia, the third largest insurance in Serbia and member of Unipol Group, Dragon Martine Group, one of the leading companies in logistics. Both companies have deeply embedded SDGs as well as ESG principles in diverse dimensions of their business.
Along with the ESG discussion, part of the conference was dedicated to circular economy. The representative of EBRD spoke about immense contribution of circular economy to decrease of GHG emission. As it was concluded, increase of energy efficiency and renewable energy introduction are not enough if circular economy does not take part.
